cctbx

Information about cctbx on Windows, Mac and Linux

We have made some major changes to how the cctbx is managed in Olex2. Now cctbx is distributed alongside the Olex2 application. Custom user cctbx builds can be used with Olex2 by setting the OLEX2_CCTBX_DIR system environment variable pointing to a valid installation of cctbx. Although those installations will not be managed by Olex2 (such as updating to a new version), the version of the installed cctbx will be validated and if the version is too old, a warning will be issued.

cctbx builds for major operating systems can downloaded here:

Fedora and Centos

cctbx rpms are available for Fedora 9/10/11 and Centos 5 via the debroglie.net repository.  They are currently under test and held in the test-repo. To access them either enable the test-repo through yumex or another yum GUI or at the command line. If you need more help with these rpms and installation of them please post on the xforum.

The cctbx rpms default to the correct OLEX2_CCTBX_DIR path for the Olex2 rpms which are also supplied by the debroglie.net repository. As with all rpms automated or semiautomated updates can be achieved making things easier for us all.
